Packaging method:

a. Single-Box Packaging Method

  • Place non-fragile products such as soft goods inside sturdy outer boxes.
  • Use inserts (fillers) such as newspaper crumplings, cork balls (loosefill peanut), or bubbly cellular dampening material such as Bubble Wrap® to fill empty spaces and prevent shifting of items inside the box during shipping.
  • Place items that may be affected by dust, water or ground conditions in plastic bags.
  • Keep small parts or granular products together in sealed containers, such as burlap sacks or seep-proof plastic bags, then pack them in sturdy outer boxes.
  • Use the H-shaped adhesive attachment method to seal your package.

b. Box-inBox Packaging Method

  • Individually wrap the product using a bubbly cellular damper or foam material at least 2″ thick to hold it inside the corrugated box.
  • Limit product movement within the box using inserts such as newspaper crumpling, peanut loosefill, or other dampening materials.
  • Seal and tape the inner box using the H-shaped adhesive fixing method. This will help prevent accidental opening.
  • Use a second box that is at least 6″ longer, wider, and deeper than the inner box.
  • Choose a wrapper or insert method to cushion the inner box inside a sturdy, larger outer box.
  • Ship fragile products individually, wrapped in a bubbly cellular dampening material with a minimum thickness of 3″.
  • Wrap the inner box using a 3″ thick bubbly cellular dampening material or use peanut loosefill at least 3″ thick or other dampening material to fill the space between the inner box and the outer box on top, bottom and all sides.
  • Fill each empty space with more dampening material.
  • Use the H-shaped adhesive mounting method to seal your package.

c. General Guidelines for Specialty/Unique Items

  • Artwork. Use masking tape in a criss-cross pattern on the glass surface to prevent cracking.
  • Photographs and Poster Board. Attach the flat post to a rigid material such as plywood, plastic, or fiberboard padding surface; alternatively, place the printed material between sheets of rippled padding and attach the two pads together on all sides.
  • Stringed Instruments. Loosen the strings to relieve pressure on the neck of the instrument.
  • Molding Material. Tie the molding materials together to prevent shifting. Apply sufficient dampening before placing in a double-layered outer corrugated box.
  • Rolled Items. Tightly wrap roll items with several layers of strong plastic film or kraft paper and wrap with plastic wrap tape. Then affix a complete address label around the object or use a label container (pouch). Pos Indonesia is not responsible for damage resulting from inadequate protection.
