Bandung – Coinciding with the commemoration of World Postal Day and the 150th anniversary of the Universal Postal Union (UPU) on October 9, 2024, Pos Indonesia was named a “Rising Star in Postal Development”. The inauguration was carried out at the UPU congress held in Berne, Switzerland.
President Director Faizal Rochmad Djoemadi, Director of Courier and Logistics Business Tonggo Marbun, and Corporate Secretary and Environmental, Social and Governance Tata Sugiarta represented PosIND to attend the celebration. This inauguration was based on the success of PosIND's transformation which was considered quite significant compared to other UPU member countries.
The President Director of PosIND expressed his pride in the achievements made. "This award is the result of the hard work of all PosIND people throughout the country, this is proof that what we have been doing so far is on the right track. Hopefully, this transformation will continue so that PosIND's services are relevant to the needs of the community," said Faizal.
This award is proof of new achievements made by PosIND. Every year, the UPU assesses its member countries using the Integrated Index for Postal Development (2IPD).
2IPD is a combined index that provides an overview of postal developments among all UPU member countries. In making its assessment, 2IPD provides an overview of the capabilities, maturity, and development of the postal sector of each member country. It is known that this year the UPU has 174 member countries.
PosIND has taken various ways to make itself relevant to the times. In the last 4 years, there have been seven transformation programs carried out by PosIND including business transformation, products and channels, processes, technology, human resources, organizations and culture.
At the end of 2023, Pos Indonesia inaugurated a new brand and logo entitled PosIND. PosIND is an abbreviation of Pos Indonesia Integrated National Distribution which is a manifestation of Pos Indonesia's transformative steps as a logistics company that can compete globally.
