Supporting the Smooth Distribution of 2024 Election Logistics, KPU Appreciates Pos Indonesia

Jakarta, February 10, 2025 - The General Election Commission (KPU) appreciates the role of PT Pos Indonesia (Persero) or PosIND in supporting the implementation of the General Election of the Republic of Indonesia in 2024 to run smoothly and peacefully. The KPU's appreciation was given through the awarding of a charter to PosIND along with dozens of other institutions and companies. The event was in line with the publication of the 2024 Voter Participation Index at the KPU Office, Jakarta, February 10, 2025. The event was attended by various related parties, including figures and other important institutions in organizing the 2024 elections. Courier and Logistics Business Director Tonggo Marbun had the opportunity to receive the award.

According to Tonggo, Pos Indonesia received a certificate of appreciation for its contribution in supporting logistics distribution during the 2024 Election. This award was given as a form of appreciation to Pos Indonesia for its role in the smooth running of the election process, especially in the aspect of logistics distribution and delivery to various regions in Indonesia. “Pos Indonesia is proud and honored to be able to contribute to the implementation of the 2024 Election. The success in supporting logistics distribution is proof of the company's commitment in ensuring elections run smoothly and successfully throughout Indonesia,” he said.

According to him, this award is a motivation to continue to provide the best service, especially in supporting a national agenda that involves the entire community. According to him, during the 2024 Election, PosIND was involved and ensured the smooth delivery of ballots, ballot boxes, and other election equipment to all regions of Indonesia. As a State-Owned Enterprise (BUMN) engaged in courier and logistics services, Pos Indonesia has an extensive network that reaches all corners of the country, so it is trusted as the main partner in election distribution.

Currently, PosIND has extensive coverage in 232 destination countries, 6,592 sub-districts, and 74,954 villages in Indonesia. PosIND is supported by 6 regional Post Offices, 42 Main Branch Post Offices (KCU), 168 Branch Post Offices (KC), and 3,630 Sub-Branch Post Offices (KCP). During the 2024 Election, PosIND ensures the readiness of the fleet and personnel deployed to distribute logistics safely and on time to remote areas of the country. According to him, with experience in the field of shipping, PosIND ensures that every election equipment sent through PosIND arrives at its destination in good condition. Also according to the schedule set by the General Election Commission.

Tonggo admitted, involvement in the distribution of the 2024 Election is an honor and a form of real contribution in supporting the democratic process in Indonesia. “The trust given to Pos Indonesia is a motivation to continue to improve services and ensure logistics distribution runs smoothly,” he said.
