PosIND and Pertiwi Jabar Hold Free Cataract Surgery at Cililin Hospital
PosIND (Persero) or PosIND together with Pertiwi West Java again showed a commitment to the welfare of the community through a free cataract surgery social service program at Cililin Hospital, West Bandung Regency. This activity is a concrete step for PosIND to be present in the community, helping those who need access to eye health. The event was attended by Chairman of Pertiwi West Java Silvia Puspa Dianita, Director of Cililin Hospital dr. Neng Siti Djulaeha, EVP Regional 3 PosIND Helly Siti Halimah, and Secretary of the West Bandung District Health Office dr. Nurul Rasihan.
In the activity involving Perdami (Indonesian Ophthalmologist Association), Cililin Hospital, and West Bandung District Health Office, more than 200 people received free cataract surgery. This is a follow-up to the success of a similar program at RSUD Cikalong Wetan in 2024. “We want to provide more than just delivery services. This program is a tangible manifestation of PosIND's social responsibility,” said EVP Regional 3 PosIND, Helly Siti Halimah.
Chairman of Pertiwi West Java Silvia Puspa Dianita said that the enthusiasm of the community was very high, with the number of registrants reaching 220 people. “This activity not only gives new hope to the patients, but also increases their productivity,” she said. Silvia added that this program will continue to be implemented regularly to reach more areas and underprivileged communities.
The Director of RSUD Cililin, dr. Neng Siti Djulaeha, emphasized the importance of programs like this in improving people's quality of life. “This cataract surgery has a big impact, especially for underprivileged families,” she said. Meanwhile, the Secretary of West Bandung District Health Office, Dr. Nurul Rasihan, hopes that this cross-sector collaboration can continue to be expanded to have a positive impact on more communities.
