Halal Distribution Certified, Pos Indonesia Trusted to Serve Hajj Pilgrims Logistics Delivery 2025

Jakarta, February 11, 2025 - Pos Indonesia is again trusted to serve logistics shipments for Indonesian pilgrims in the 2025 hajj season. Various preparations have been made to ensure the distribution of goods runs smoothly.

Certainty of Pos Indonesia's involvement after participating in the Coordination Meeting on Improving the Implementation of Logistics Services for Hajj Pilgrims 2025 held by the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture (Kemenko PMK) in Jakarta. This coordination meeting is a follow-up to the discussion between Kemenko PMK and Pos Indonesia regarding efforts to improve Hajj logistics services.

Pos Indonesia's Director of Business Development and Portfolio Management, Prasabri Pesti, who attended the meeting, said that Pos Indonesia already has halal distribution certification to support the logistics services of pilgrims. “As in the previous year's hajj departure, we will also prepare officers in Makkah and Madinah to assist pilgrims in sending goods back to the country,” Prasabri said.

Pos Indonesia is committed to not only serving the delivery of goods belonging to pilgrims, but also supporting the delivery of logistics for officers and organizers for the smooth running of this year's hajj season. Pos Indonesia's commitment is in line with the mandate of SOE Minister Erick Thohir, that SOEs must support the smooth implementation of the hajj pilgrimage. Including Pos Indonesia in order to ensure fast and efficient delivery of Hajj cargo and logistics.

“We are currently still in the preparation stage, looking for solutions and evaluating various obstacles that may arise in the field. We also continue to discuss and coordinate with stakeholders and related institutions to improve service quality and SLA (Service Level Agreement),” Prasabri concluded. He is optimistic that Pos Indonesia can provide the best logistics services for Indonesian pilgrims in 2025. Pos Indonesia will also provide affordable prices for this Hajj service. As well as certainty of logistics distribution to remote areas of the archipelago.

Deputy for Coordination of Strengthening Character and National Identity of the Coordinating Ministry for PMK Warsito said that the 2025 Hajj pilgrimage from Indonesia is planned to take place between May and July 2025. “Although from year to year the organization of Hajj has undergone various improvements, to build a good Hajj ecosystem, collaboration from various sectors is needed,” said Warsito.

This support is important so that the annual big celebration of Muslims can run smoothly. Hajj pilgrims perform worship solemnly without having to think about shipping luggage and other equipment.

It is known, at the coordination meeting held at the Mercure Sabang Hotel, Jakarta, Deputy for Coordination of Strengthening the Character & National Identity of the Coordinating Ministry for PMK Warsito; Assistant Deputy for Religious Development of the Coordinating Ministry for PMK Asep Sunandar; Director of Domestic Hajj Services at the Directorate General of Hajj & Umrah Organizers of the Ministry of Religion Muhammad Zein; Director of Business Development and Portfolio Management of Pos Indonesia Prasabri Pesti; Head of the Agricultural Quarantine Center Abdul Rahman; Head of the Hajj Health Risk Invoice Control Working Team Imron Cahyono; Director of Accommodation, Consumption and Transportation Service Support at the Deputy for Domestic Hajj Service Coordination (Indonesian Hajj Organizing Agency). Also present were representatives from Customs, the Indonesian Quarantine Agency, as well as representatives from BPOM RI and PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero).
